Essential Educational
- Ph.D. in the relevant discipline
- First class in preceding degrees from graduation onward (minimum 60%) Where first class is not expressly stated by the University or Institution, at least 6.5 CGPA/CPI on a 10-point scale or 60% aggregate marks is required.
- At least one degree from graduation onward should be from IISc, IITs, IIITs, NITs, IIMs, ISI or IISERs, or the candidate should be working in a regular pay scale at one of these institutions, subject to the stated exception for qualifying foreign degrees Candidates with relevant degrees from abroad may be considered under the conditions stated in the advertisement.
Experience After Ph.d.
Three years of relevant experience after Ph.D.
Experience After M.tech.
Six years total experience after obtaining M.Tech., not counting the Ph.D. enrolment period The Ph.D. enrolment period is excluded from the experience calculation.
Other Essential Research Requirements
- Two papers in SCI Journals outside the Ph.D. work
- One ongoing sponsored project for candidates from academia
- Two experiments or computational projects added to teaching laboratories where appropriate Required where appropriate.
