Common Eligibility Conditions

Registration
Valid permanent/provisional registration with MCI or DCI/State Medical or Dental Council/DMC, as applicable. Registration documents are required for verification and applicable registration must be submitted at joining.
Other
- Pass the qualifying examination/viva voce, have the result declared, and complete qualifying-degree tenure on or before 29 October 2026. Pending results permit provisional interview only if available by the cutoff. Later results cancel candidature.
- Candidates who have completed three years of residency under the Central Residency Scheme are not eligible. Previous Senior Residency in the same specialty counts toward the three-year total; only the remaining tenure is available.
- Government-serving candidates must apply through proper channel or produce employer/competent-authority NOC at interview. Failure may prevent interview; improper-channel applications can lead to cancellation or termination.

Eligibility and document scrutiny
On the interview day, the Scrutiny Committee checks essential qualifications, age, category, applicable experience, NOC and other eligibility documents. Bring originals and two sets of self-attested photocopies. Only candidates satisfying the committee may be interviewed.

Selection is purely interview-based. The interview carries 100 marks; category-wise merit lists use interview marks only. Ties are resolved by ranking the older candidate higher. Date, venue and reporting time will be notified later.
