C-MET Thrissur Lab invites candidates for three temporary project-based posts under a MeitY-sponsored scientific project.

Project Associate-I (A)2 disciplines

Essential Education

First Class or 60% marks required.

  • Alternative 1 of 3. M.Sc. in Chemistry with First Class or 60% marks Alternative essential qualification.

  • Alternative 2 of 3. M.Sc. in Material Science with First Class or 60% marks Alternative essential qualification.

  • Alternative 3 of 3. M.Sc. in Physics with First Class or 60% marks Alternative essential qualification.

Desirable Experience

Experience in 2D materials and devices, CVD, lithography techniques, material characterization and clean room facilities(Desirable)

Project Associate-I (B)2 disciplines

Essential Education

  • Alternative 1 of 3. B.E. or B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Alternative essential qualification.

  • Alternative 2 of 3. B.E. or B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering Alternative essential qualification.

  • Alternative 3 of 3. B.E. or B.Tech. in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering Alternative essential qualification.

Desirable Experience

Experience in device design and fabrication and MEMS facilities(Desirable)

  • Alternative 1 of 4. Diploma in Electrical Engineering with First Class or 60% marks Alternative essential qualification.

    Walk-in

    Attend the walk-in interview for the applicable post at C-MET, Thrissur. Project Assistant candidates may attend on 1 October 2026, Project Associate-I (A) candidates on 6 October 2026, and Project Associate-I (B) candidates on 7 October 2026. Registration is from 08:00 to 10:30 on the respective date. Bring originals and copies supporting qualification, age and experience, along with a passport-size photograph.

Candidates will first be screened by a Committee. Only candidates screened in will be considered for interview, subject to verification of original documents.

Eligibility notes

The maximum age is 28 years as on 31 August 2026 for all three posts. OBC Non-Creamy Layer candidates claiming age relaxation must produce a valid non-creamy layer certificate issued for Central Employment purpose.

Application instructions

Eligible candidates may attend the respective walk-in interview at C-MET, Thrissur. Registration is between 08:00 and 10:30 on the relevant interview date. Applicants must bring original documents along with copies supporting qualification, age and experience, and a passport-size photograph.

Important notes

The project duration is up to 13 January 2027 and is likely to be extended for one more year. All posts are purely temporary. Appointment does not confer any right to claim regular appointment. Selected candidates are normally required to report for duty within 10 days from the date of offer, with no extension. Resignation during the project period will not normally be entertained.
