Salary & benefits
Project Associate-I
₹31,000
per month
Eligibility for ₹31,000 rate
Applicable to candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC, ICAR or ICMR NET for lectureship or Assistant Professorship, GATE, or qualifying National-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments such as DBT or DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies or Institutions.

Applicable to eligible candidates who do not fall under the higher-emolument qualification condition.

Mere possession of the minimum qualification does not confer a right to be called for interview, and screening criteria may be applied where applications are numerous.
Eligibility notes
The upper age limit is reckoned as on the last date of receipt of applications. Result-awaited candidates, final-semester candidates and candidates who have submitted a Ph.D. but have not acquired the applicable minimum essential qualification are not eligible. Final-semester and result-awaited candidates are not allowed to appear for interview.

Eligible candidates must submit the online application form by 30.09.2026. Only candidates who have acquired the essential qualification and whose result has been declared, with at least a provisional certificate, are eligible. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online interview.

The engagement is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project and does not confer any right to regularization against CSIR or CSIR-NEERI posts. Project tenure may be extended or curtailed based on project duration, funding, performance or conduct. Selected candidates must complete pre-appointment formalities including medical examination and character verification and must sign a confidentiality undertaking.
