    Written Test

    Attend at the advertised post-code location, date and reporting time. Results are declared on the same day. Wait for results and further instructions unless informed otherwise.

    Interview of shortlisted candidates

    Hybrid interview, offline and online, on the written test day or another day announced after the test. The Committee may require an in-person interview and will inform candidates accordingly.

    Original document verification at Written Test

    Bring original certificates and testimonials with self-attested copies, two self-attested photographs and A4-typed biodata. Applicable statutory category originals must be issued by the competent authority.

All essential and stipulated criteria must be met as on 12 October 2026. Final-semester candidates and candidates awaiting results are ineligible. Maximum age is 40 years for Senior Project Associate and 35 for Project Associate-I, with SC/ST/OBC/PwD/women relaxation under CSIR/Government of India rules. Applicable language proficiency and working knowledge of computers and common software are preferred.

Important notes

Engagement is temporary and contractual, initially up to 31 March 2027 and at maximum up to 31 March 2031, subject to review and co-terminus with the project. Cumulative tenure across all CSIR postings cannot exceed six years. No TA/DA is paid. Posting may change and travel may be required. A waitlist panel will remain valid for one year. Canvassing disqualifies candidates.
