Eligibility
Essential and Service Requirements
Education
Matric with a one-year training certificate from a Company Hospital, recognised institute, or Government Hospital.
Experience
Two years of service in the coal industry.
Internal Employment Eligibility
- Applicant must be a regular and permanent employee of Eastern Coalfields Limited. TR Trainees are excluded.
- Employees in a higher grade are not eligible. Employees in the same grade or a lower grade may apply subject to fulfilment of the other Cadre Scheme eligibility conditions.
- Management may decline to consider candidates working in statutory or essential capacities such as Electrician (Complete Cadre). The notification identifies these employees as a restricted category and states that such employees need not apply.

Trade Test
Candidates must qualify a Trade Test conducted by the Medical Department under the supervision of CMS (I/C), Sanctoria Hospital, ECL Headquarters. Successful candidates are ranked according to Trade Test performance. In case of a tie, date of appointment and then date of birth determines seniority.

The Unit or Area HR Executive must verify the details and documents from service records and originals, certify them, and forward the application through the prescribed hierarchy. Direct applications, applications not in the prescribed format, incomplete applications, applications without required documents or signature, and applications not forwarded through proper channel will be rejected.
Important notes
Selected trainees will undergo one year of training in a Company Hospital. After successful completion, they will become eligible for regularization as Dresser (Medical) in T&S Grade E subject to vacancy. During training they retain their original designation, grade, and category. Management may increase or decrease vacancies or cancel the selection process.
