Monthly amount is capped at Rs. 24,000, with payable honorarium being Rs. 1,000 per working day or Rs. 24,000 per month, whichever is less.

Applications will be scrutinized and, as far as possible, a list of five persons will be prepared for each post.

The Hon'ble High Court will consider the eligible candidates after consultation and deliberation with qualified experts connected with family and child development.

Names recommended by the Hon'ble High Court will be forwarded to the State Government, which will issue the appointment notification on the basis of the High Court's recommendation.

Candidates must be between 35 and 65 years of age on the last date for submission of applications. A Bachelor's Degree in Sociology or Psychology and experience in social service are required. Preference is given to candidates with a Master's Degree in Social Work and two years of family counseling experience.

Important notes
An effort will be made to appoint a person from the same district as the Family Court. If no suitable local person is available, a person from another district of Uttar Pradesh may be appointed. Initial tenure is three years and may be considered for a further three years on recommendation of the Hon'ble High Court. Appointment is not treated as Government service and remains contractual.
