Senior Resident

Eligibility

Education

Postgraduate Medical Degree, i.e. M.D./M.S./DNB/M.Ch./D.M., or equivalent in the concerned specialty, recognized by MCI.

Experience

Candidates who have completed three years tenure of Senior Residency are not eligible for the post of Senior Resident. Previous Senior Residency in any Central Institution or Hospital under the Central Residency Scheme is counted toward the maximum three-year tenure.

Age

Upper age limit is 45 years as on 05 October 2026. Age relaxation is 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC, 5 years for Government servants applying through proper channel, and 10 years for eligible widows, deserted women, and women judicially separated from their husbands who are not remarried.as of 5 October 2026

Registration

Registered either with the Medical Council of India or a State Medical Council.

Casualty Medical Officer (General Medicine)

CMO General Medicine Eligibility

Education

Eligibility notes
