Selection summary
Selection is out of 100 marks: 70 marks for Intermediate or 12th Class merit, 5 marks for widows, 10 marks for orphans, 5 marks for persons with disabilities and 10 marks for interview by the District Selection Committee.
Eligibility notes
Applicants must be eligible women candidates, must have passed Intermediate or 12th Class, and must be 18 to 35 years of age as on 1 July 2026. The applicant must be a local woman. In urban areas she must reside in the ward or division where the Anganwadi Centre is located, and in rural areas she must reside in the Gram Panchayat where the Anganwadi Centre is located.
Application instructions
Applications must be submitted online through http://wdcw.tg.nic.in. Manual applications, postal applications, email applications and applications submitted through Project, CDPO or DWO offices will not be accepted. Scanned copies of the prescribed supporting documents must be uploaded online.
Important notes
For ST Sub-Plan Anganwadi Teacher vacancies, priority is restricted to eligible ST candidates from the same village or habitation as stated in the notification. For SC Sub-Plan vacancies, eligible SC candidates from the same Gram Panchayat are considered, with first priority to the SC group to which the roster vacancy is allotted and provision to consider other SC groups if candidates are unavailable. The District Collector or Chairman may cancel or modify the notification.
