Education

Four-year full-time regular B.Sc. Agriculture degree from a university or institute recognized by UGC/AICTE. Degree duration: four years; full-time regular mode.

Age

Age limit 30 years as on 1 September 2026, subject to category relaxation. SC/ST: five years; OBC non-creamy layer: three years.as of 1 September 2026

Other

Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking the regional language of the state for which the candidate applies.

General or OBC Pathway

Education

At least 60% aggregate marks in B.Sc. Agriculture for General/OBC candidates. Applicable only to General/OBC candidates.

SC or ST Pathway

Education

At least 55% aggregate marks in B.Sc. Agriculture for SC/ST candidates. Applicable only to SC/ST candidates.

Salary & benefits

Agriculture Graduate Trainee (AGT)

₹33,300

per month

Current stipend during the one-year training period, governed by organization rules.

₹37,000 - ₹70,000

per month

Eligibility for ₹37,000 rate

Regular pay scale only if absorbed after successful completion of one year of training, subject to IFFCO requirements. Starting basic pay is Rs. 37,000 per month; allowances and benefits apply under organization rules.

Selection process

    Preliminary online test

    Eligible candidates take a computer-based online test in an open environment using their own computer or laptop with internet access.

    Final online test

    Candidates shortlisted on preliminary online test performance take a final online test in a controlled environment at designated centres.

    Personal interview

    Personal interview is referenced in the medical examination clause. Separate interview arrangements and shortlisting criteria are not described.

    Medical examination

    Candidates shortlisted after the personal interview undergo examination under IFFCO medical standards before final selection.
