IIIT-Delhi Visvesvaraya Post-Doctoral Fellowship Recruitment 2026

Education

• PhD degree from a recognised university, with first class in all preceding levels and a good academic record throughout. First class is described in terms of grades, etc.; no numerical percentage or CGPA threshold is specified.
• The PhD must not have been completed at IIIT-Delhi.
• PhD completed within the past five years as on the last application submission date. The exact deadline remains unresolved because it is defined relative to publication.

Age

Upper age limit of 40 years on the date of application submission. The reference date depends on each applicant's actual submission date.

Nationality

Indian citizen.

Employment status

Applicants in regular employment will not be considered. Scientists or researchers in temporary positions in academia or research institutions may be considered, but must relinquish their current roles if selected.

Prior fellowship

Candidates who have already availed the fellowship under the scheme are ineligible to apply.

Other

Active industry linkages and a research proposal directed towards industry-specific problems. Although included under the Essential Qualifications heading, the clause expressly states a preference.(Preferred)
