Age

Upper age limit 50 years. Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST, women and physically challenged candidates, and 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates.

Computer knowledge

  • Sound knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Python and FORTRAN.(Desirable)
  • Experience in working on CFD software such as Ansys.(Desirable)

Skill

Sound knowledge of physics-informed AI/ML.(Desirable)

M.tech or M.E. Pathway

  • M.Tech./M.E. in Mechanical, Chemical or Computer Science & Engineering. (minimum 60%) Minimum 60% marks or 6.5/10.0 CGPA.
  • B.Tech./B.E. in Mechanical, Chemical or Computer Science & Engineering. (minimum 60%) Minimum 60% marks or 6.5/10.0 CGPA.

B.tech or B.E. Pathway

B.Tech./B.E. in Mechanical, Chemical, Computer Science & Engineering or related streams. (minimum 60%) Minimum 60% marks or 6.5/10.0 CGPA throughout, starting from Class XII.

Salary & benefits

Junior Research Fellow

₹37,000

per month

Eligibility for ₹37,000 rate

Applicable to candidates having a valid GATE/NET score or other prescribed national-level qualifying examination, or candidates admitted to M.Tech./M.E. through GATE qualification, as stated in the advertisement.

₹30,000

per month

Eligibility for ₹30,000 rate

Applicable to eligible candidates without GATE/NET or another prescribed national-level qualifying examination, including M.Tech./M.E. holders who have never qualified GATE, when considered as Project Associate-I under the cited ANRF Office Memorandum.
