Education
M.Sc. or M.Tech. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Natural Products Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Food Technology, Food Science & Nutrition or Microbiology.
Experience
Minimum 6 months of relevant experience in food testing, food analysis, laboratory operations and quality control. Required with the postgraduate qualification pathway.
Bachelor's Pathway
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Science (B.Sc.), B.Tech. or B.E. in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or Microbiology.
Experience
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in food testing, food analysis, laboratory operations and quality control. Required with the bachelor's qualification pathway.
Desirable Experience, Training and Knowledge
Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Management System, testing laboratory, PT/ILC programme or a related field.(Desirable)
Computer knowledge
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, data management and preparation of quality records and reports.(Desirable)
Skill
- Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17043:2023 and requirements applicable to proficiency testing providers.(Desirable)
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017, particularly where proficiency testing activities involve laboratory testing.(Desirable)
- Knowledge of document control, record control, internal audit, nonconformity, corrective action, risk management and continual improvement.(Desirable)
- Basic understanding of proficiency testing programme planning, PT item handling, homogeneity and stability, participant communication, result evaluation and PT reporting.(Desirable)
- Basic understanding of statistical concepts used in proficiency testing, including assigned value, standard deviation, z-score and performance evaluation.(Desirable)
- Good written and verbal communication skills for interaction with participants, technical personnel, auditors and management.(Desirable)
- Ability to prepare, review and maintain SOPs, formats, quality records, audit documents, CAPA records and proficiency testing documentation.(Desirable)
Certification
- Training on Internal Auditing as per ISO/IEC 17043:2023 for Proficiency Testing Providers.(Desirable)
- Training or competence in internal auditing of management systems, preferably ISO/IEC 17043 or ISO/IEC 17025.(Desirable)
Age limit
Maximum age 35 years.
Relaxation of 5 years applies to women, SC, ST, OBC and differently abled candidates as per Government of India rules. No age calculation date is stated.
Salary & benefits
₹37,000
per month
