Age

Electrical Discipline Eligibility

Education

Full-time B.E., B.Tech. or B.Sc. Engineering from a recognized University or Institute in Electrical, Electrical (Power), Electrical and Electronics, Power Systems Engineering or Power Engineering (Electrical). (minimum 60%) Minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. For SC, ST and PwBD candidates, qualifying marks may be relaxed to pass marks for posts reserved for the respective category as specified in the later detailed advertisement.

Exam qualification

Candidate must appear in and qualify the GATE 2027 Electrical Engineering paper, code EE. Qualifying marks are as declared by the GATE 2027 Organizing Body.

Civil Discipline Eligibility

Education

Full-time B.E., B.Tech. or B.Sc. Engineering from a recognized University or Institute in Civil Engineering. (minimum 60%) Minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. For SC, ST and PwBD candidates, qualifying marks may be relaxed to pass marks for posts reserved for the respective category as specified in the later detailed advertisement.

(minimum 60%) Minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. Salary & benefits

Engineer Trainee

₹40,000 - ₹1,40,000

per month

Eligibility for ₹40,000 rate

Applicable during the one-year training period in IDA scale. Basic Pay at entry is Rs. 40,000, with IDA, HRA and perks at 12% of Basic Pay.

₹50,000 - ₹1,60,000

per month

Applicable after successful completion of training upon absorption as Engineer in E2 scale.

Selected Engineer Trainees undergo one year of training and, after successful completion, are absorbed as Engineer in E2 scale. Postings are largely at on-site locations and candidates may be posted anywhere in India or abroad.
