Eligibility
Minimum Educational
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering/Technology/Computer Science/Degree in Engineering in Computer Applications/Information Technology/Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunications/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation, or Post Graduate Degree in Electronics/Electronics & Tele Communication/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation/Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Applications The degree must be recognized by AICTE, UGC or the concerned regulatory body as applicable in India. Sections A & B examination of the Institution of Engineers (India), treated as equivalent to Degree by the Government of India and recognized by AICTE, is also accepted.
Minimum Marks by Vacancy Category
The applicable minimum marks depend on whether the candidate is being considered against an unreserved or reserved post.
Alternative 1 of 2. First class degree or minimum 60% marks in the Minimum Qualification for UR/EWS candidates and SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD candidates applying against unreserved posts If percentage is not shown, the university or institution conversion formula must be provided. Where no conversion formula exists, an authorized undertaking is required and minimum 6 on a 10-point scale will be considered as 60%.

Minimum Post- Experience
Two years post-qualification experience in one or more areas mentioned in the Job Description Training other than on-the-job training, internship, teaching, academic, fellowship and PhD research experience are not counted. Relevant apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 is considered subject to all other eligibility criteria.

Eligibility for ₹40,000 rate
Pay will be fixed at the minimum of the scale. Employees appointed on regular basis from other PSUs or Government organizations who applied through proper channel or submitted NOC at interview may be eligible for protection of Basic plus DA in accordance with Company policy.
In addition to Basic Pay, employees are eligible for DA, fixed or variable allowances as applicable to the scale, Performance Related Pay, medical facilities, HRA or lease accommodation and other benefits stated in the advertisement.

Written Test
The written test has 125 objective-type questions of one mark each and a duration of 2.5 hours, with no negative marking. PwBD candidates are eligible for 50 minutes compensatory time. Minimum qualifying marks are 50% for UR/EWS and 45% for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD against reserved posts. Written test carries 60% weightage.

Document Scrutiny and Verification
Based on written test results and number of vacancies, RITES will scrutinize submitted documents. Shortlisted candidates called for interview must undergo verification of original documents and produce documents establishing all eligibility claims and any notified deficiencies.

Interview
Candidates are called for interview in a ratio of 1:6 to vacancies. Interview carries 40% weightage, comprising Technical & Professional proficiency 30 and Personality, Communication & Competency 10. Minimum interview marks are 60% for UR/EWS and 50% for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD against reserved posts. There is no minimum qualifying mark in the aggregate.
