Age

Minimum age is 18 years as on 1 July 2026. Applicant should not have been born after 1 July 2008.as of 1 July 2026
Maximum age is 44 years as on 1 July 2026. Applicant should not have been born before 2 July 1982. Applicable age relaxations are stated separately in the notification.as of 1 July 2026

Nationality

Applicant must be a citizen of India.

Civil Engineering

Graduate in Civil Engineering. The qualification must have been declared by the concerned University on or before 18 September 2026.

Electrical Engineering

Graduate in Electrical Engineering. Electrical and Mechanical Engineering together are allocated 15 percent of posts. The qualification must have been declared by 18 September 2026.

Mechanical Engineering

Graduate in Mechanical Engineering. Electrical and Mechanical Engineering together are allocated 15 percent of posts. The qualification must have been declared by 18 September 2026.

Computer Science Engineering

Graduate in Computer Science Engineering. CSE, IT and ECE Engineering together are allocated 5 percent of posts. The qualification must have been declared by 18 September 2026.

Information Technology

Graduate in Information Technology. CSE, IT and ECE Engineering together are allocated 5 percent of posts. The qualification must have been declared by 18 September 2026.

Electronics and Communication Engineering

Graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering. CSE, IT and ECE Engineering together are allocated 5 percent of posts. The qualification must have been declared by 18 September 2026.

Objective Type Examination
Selection is through an Objective Type examination conducted in CBRT or OMR mode. Paper I, General Studies and General Abilities, has 150 questions, 150 minutes and 150 marks. Paper II, Concerned Subject, has 150 questions, 150 minutes and 300 marks. Appearance in all papers is compulsory.

Selection summary

Selection is based on marks secured in an Objective Type examination conducted either through CBRT or OMR. Paper I carries 150 marks and Paper II carries 300 marks, for 450 marks total. Minimum qualifying marks are 40 percent for OC, Sportspersons and EWS, 35 percent for BC, and 30 percent for SC, ST and PH candidates, subject to the stated SC and ST provision.

Eligibility notes

Applicants must be citizens of India, possess the prescribed Engineering qualification by 18 September 2026, and have suitable character and antecedents. Age is 18 to 44 years as on 1 July 2026, subject to stated category and service-based relaxations. The post is confined to Multi Zone-II and 95 percent local reservation applies.

Important notes

The Objective Type examination is tentatively scheduled for December 2026. Hall Tickets may be downloaded from seven days before the examination up to 5:00 PM on the previous day. The Commission may normalize scores for multi-session CBRT examinations. There is no waiting list. Applicants must regularly monitor the TGPSC website because no individual communication will be sent for recruitment updates.
