Faculty Requirements

The notification refers Faculty qualifications to the applicable UGC Regulations, 2018.

  • Qualifications must comply with the UGC Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and other Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education Regulations, 2018.
  • Eligibility is based on 55% marks or an equivalent grade on a point scale where a grading system is followed. A relaxation of 5% is permissible for the categories specified under the applicable rules. Eligibility is determined from qualifying marks only, without including grace-mark procedures.
