Teaching and Research Experience Pathway

  • 15 years of teaching and research experience in an approved college/institution/university.
  • Of the 15 years, eight years as Reader/Associate Professor in the Rs. 1,31,400 to Rs. 2,17,100 pay scale, Level 13A. Included within the total experience, not additional to it. This pay scale describes qualifying previous service.
  • Experience in educational administration. No separate minimum duration is stated.

Criteria

  • Master's degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade B in the UGC seven-point scale. Equivalent B grade is an alternative to percentage marks, not an additional requirement.
  • Ph.D. qualification in the respective field. Not essential for the Controller post.(Desirable)

Administrative Experience Pathway

  • 15 years of administrative experience.
  • Of the 15 years, eight years as Deputy Registrar or in an equivalent post. Included within the total administrative experience.
Professor cum Director, Centre for Distance and Online Education3 disciplines

Pathway A: Eminent Scholar

Publication count, score and doctoral guidance requirements belong to this pathway.

Education

Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.

Experience

  • At least ten years of university/college teaching experience as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and/or equivalent-level research experience at a university or national-level institution. Teaching and/or equivalent research experience as stated.
  • Evidence of having successfully guided a doctoral candidate.

Other

  • Eminent scholar with high-quality published work, actively engaged in research, with at least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or refereed journals. Minimum publication count for pathway A.
  • Total research score of 120 under Appendix II, Table 2. Research score must come from at least three of six categories; combined categories 5(b) and 6 are capped at 30% of total score.

Pathway B: Outstanding Professional

Do not impose pathway A publication-count or research-score thresholds on pathway B.

Education

Ph.D. degree in relevant/allied/applied disciplines, as an outstanding professional from an academic institution not included in pathway A or from industry.

Experience

Ten years of experience. Outstanding-professional pathway.

Other

Significant contribution to knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence.

Professor Cum Director Criteria

Either source pathway A or B is sufficient; desirable educational planning experience is separate.

Educational planning experience in pedagogy and teaching technology relating to continuing education/distance education/nonformal education.(Desirable)

Dean-College Development Council

Dean Criteria

Master's marks relaxation for SC/ST is conditional as stated.

Education

  • Master's degree in Arts/Science or Humanities with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade B in the UGC seven-point scale. A relaxation from 55% to 50% may be provided for SC/ST candidates. The 55% helper is the general threshold; the conditional SC/ST relaxation and equivalent grade alternative must also be honored.
  • Ph.D. qualification in the respective field.

Experience

  • At least 15 years of teaching/research experience or both.
  • Within the 15 years, at least two years as Head of Department in a college/university, Director of a research establishment or Principal of a recognized college. The specified leadership roles are alternatives; experience is included within the total.

Skill

Proven ability in executing and implementing funded research projects or innovative programmes in teaching and research. Preference may be given as stated.(Preferred)
